Yuri could be the original scientist from zero. Also, let's repeat ourselves in case it helps. In this system¹, people mostly live in zero, which consolidates anastral non-planets, e.g. asteroids, rocks, dust (moons are contentious).²

Okay, so this is a max parenthetical here. An astral means the opposite of astral, so I could have also used unastral, but anastral kind of has a better ring to it. So if it's not a star and it's not a planet, that means it's like a small rock, asteroid, comet, dust, etc. Right? So all of these at some point were engineered into a giant ring, right? So it's like the asteroid belt. You can think of the actual asteroid belt as like an in-progress version of this. Right? So everything that could go in the asteroid belt does go in the asteroid belt, so to speak, and, you know, its position sort of, you know, I'm not quite certain, but it forms a giant zero. So basically if you're nobody, you live in that giant zero zero belt, right? So it's a giant ring, and people call it zero, and we can sort of type it out as just the number zero, and it's like a literal symbol of what it actually is in the solar system, which is a big ring. And it's for people who are not, you know, elite or wealthy enough to live inside a natural number.

So the shape of zero is familiar and literal. To live inside a natural number (in this system zero is not a natural number) is a sign of elite status, wealth, connection to power. In this system, the odd numbers are considered the natural numbers in everyday use, with multiples of three considered self-evidently preferable. The even numbers are considered a very dark, dangerous occult business, avoided without question in the presence of others, and seen as a sign and omen of something awful.

In this system, when something new happens, it is considered an emergent property of the system, considered as a happening to be the legal property of the system, having been conceived therein. When the same thing happens again, it is socially considered only once happening a third time, at which point it is considered an existence. To happen only twice is considered an anomaly and typically sends people into a panic because historically when things happen in even number of times, you know, people believed it brought about terrible tragedy as punishment. So the number two is seen as uneasy, nervous, ominous limbo between emergence and convergence when it comes to existence, at least in this system.³

But we think, you know, the max parenthetical, you know, it's in all systems, right? So this should be the sort of, you know, background numerology of this world. And then, you know, still inside this parenthetical right now, the goal is for there to be, right, I think twelve sections of writing grouped into the first four under, you know, chapter zero, you know, part three, part six, part nine, part twelve, and then chapter one has part three, part six, part nine, part twelve, and then chapter infinity has part three, part six, part nine, part twelve.

And a part of the, you know, numerology is that it doesn't have to be the exact numerology of the world. It can emerge from the book or from the minds of some of the characters, because this one I actually really quite like, and it shouldn't be obvious at first, that lots of the different realms of science and math and thought sort of really, you know, at different points give the most homage to either zero or one or infinity as a concept, or as a kind of the central concept around which it orbits. So just as a quick example, I think, you know, algebra really revolves around zero, probability really revolves around one, and I think geometry really revolves around infinity when it comes to, I don't know, I guess it's just my feeling. So if there's better ways of expressing this or thinking about this, I would be open to it, but that's a part of what, you know, I want to kind of emerge from the book, of a better sort of, like, non-imposing numerology, right? So the sort of numerology of the bureaucracy of this world should be like, they impose restrictions on numbers. We're gonna get to that later in the read-aloud. But the better sort of numerology is one that doesn't impose restrictions, but instead, like, provides understanding, right? In a non-fictional way.

Okay, we've talked about numbers, and now we say this: there is Peño (pronounced like the Peño in jalapeño) who lives in the loaf of bread in one. His father, also Peño, founded Jalapeños, basically the Chipotle of this system, but inspired by Nando's, and it caused a sensation, introducing diets that are spicier and spicier to each subsequent generation of consumers.

Our Peño really hates his lot in life and wants to be a panelist⁴ to reform that institution from within and to restore its original methods of experiment, hypothesis, inquiry, debate, writing, and freedom of the count (allowing all natural numbers to freely occur as opposed to the universally respected social contract that any even number occurs solely in intermediate calculation).

Peño could also be the main character or the most protagonisty, and he could be the one who fails to solve the riddle of the dog (IDK if a character should solve it). The riddle is somewhat as follows.⁵

Okay, now max parenthetical. Here I have these two diagrams where what they place is basically zero, one, and infinity as a trio inside the positions or regions of zero, one, and infinity. Right? So the top region corresponds to infinity; the lower left region corresponds to zero; the lower right region corresponds to one. Right? So what we have here— it's a pretty fun picture. What we do is we pretty much, so to speak, start in the lower left, where the hangover from society's past is that sun is God, and, you know, where we plan to start our story is kind of with this scientific revolution where people finally come to the rational understanding of the sun and its relational as a mechanism and a conductor, etc., etc. Right?

And then also in the lower left we have I am someone, right? So right now we have in the region of one, which is the lower right, we're going to have dog is someone in the position of one, which is the lower right in the lower right. Right now we have I am someone, right? Sort of the role for one inside the time. Let's call it the time. So we have roles and we have times. So I think the outer position corresponds to the time, and then the inner position corresponds to the role. Right? So we're talking about outer position zero. That means time zero. That means beginning of the story. So at the beginning of the story there is no dog.

Okay, I'm starting a transcription again. So we were at time zero, and then the three roles at time zero. So the role of zero at time zero is occupied by the dog, because there is no dog at the beginning of the story. So the role of one at time zero is I am someone. So that's just, you know, a character has a normal sense of self and has not undergone any transformation in the story yet. And then also time zero and the role of infinity is the sun as God. Okay.

Then when we move to time one in the lower right, in the role of zero we have there is no sun. Because at some point in the story there should be no sun, and we should just explore the properties of how the story proceeds with that condition. There's many ways that this could happen, but that's just, you know, how it should be at some point. Also at this point, dog is someone in the one category, right? So the presence of a dog with personality, you know, as someone that the main character gets as a dog and then comes to see not just as like an unconscious animal, but as a someone, right? So that's like a main sort of fun plot point. It should be a main plot element: the dog as someone.

And then at some point, I think with these two things happening, there is a dog who is seen as someone, there is a lack of the sun. At this point in the time one, and by the way, in this system, the number one already confers elite status. Right? The main character, due to the infinity role at time one, feels that I am God. Okay. What this should mean is an overinflated sense of ego, and that ultimately personal growth will come from realizing that, you know, somehow it is within their power and better for their dog and for all of life for them to see themselves as less of a God and more of a zero, right? For the sake of others. Okay, so that's the explanation of the three roles at time one.

And this character Peño, I think can work really well here, like it's Peño's dog. And I think, you know, because of Peño's upbringing, he already has some status, because he has these ambitions to be a scientist. You know, he might seek glory, and then he might get it, and then it might turn out badly. Right? So it might be really bad when he experiences the glory of his dreams. And I think he basically wants to, in some ways, be the next Yuri. He wants to have the next great idea. He kind of tries to force it instead of letting ideas just come to him, which is really not just what happened to Yuri, what Yuri himself explained scientifically, the fact that ideas come to people. So ultimately it should be really the wrong struggle for Peño to have ambitions and pursue them in the way that he did, even though it's really kind of innocent and understandable that he just didn't want to work at jalapeños or take over jalapeños as owner. Okay.

The final, you know, infinity time region, this has the infinity role of the dog. So what that means is by the end of the story we come to realize, as the reader, the supreme importance of the dog in some way. You know, the riddle somehow unfolds what the dog is, and it's infinity, so it's not nothing. Then also in this time period, there is no me, and Sun is someone.

So one of the great, you know, takeaways by the end of the book should be that, you know, this Yuri revolution was always misinterpreted because we never actually got his original writing. It was only interpreted through the panelists. And, you know, Yuri should be shown in retrospect to have understood the sun as someone, but this was suppressed because it would be dangerous. So, you know, the repression came to make everyone believe that the sun was not someone and that this is what Yuri thought, but Yuri actually came to believe that the sun is someone. And so we should, by the end of the story, discover Yuri's writing or notes or something directly.

The previous image (the latter resolution, not the former draft) shows a consistent presentation of role and identity in the system.⁶ In the region corresponding to zero, there is no dog. This means that at the beginning of our story, someone lacks a dog. Also at the beginning of our story, there is still a concept hanging over society as a looming image (nothing more) of the sun as God.

Science had, up till every age, only made significant progress on Earth, and the sun came to be both understood yet highly deified. Yuri is the moment the sun becomes finally reckoned with as a scientific object. An idea came to his head: Is it a clock? Obviously, it was a star (and for a time it was extremely not obvious that the sun was the same, to some order of approximation, as other stars). But it was not obvious how much astral behavior was just repeating on a clock because its scale of time at which it repeats is so much longer than human life most of the time.

Only extremely rare and volatile events, like solar flares and magnetic field interaction and gravitational interaction, were ever observable more than once within the collective lifetimes of humanity. And even then, the ability to forecast was effectively zero before Yuri. A part of what Yuri was able to do, although nobody ever found his notebooks or knows what his thought process was, was to model the sun as a clock, not on a clock. What that changed was scientists stopped modeling the sun as an isolated system itself (e.g. treating its ejections as outside itself) and started modeling it as the clock of its surrounding system, thereby treating the course and purpose of solar behavior an unscientific pursuit, because it is really a mechanism conducting the course and behavior of its surrounding life and mentality therein.

In this system, and so far, evidence shows it applies to all systems, the conducting sun is teleologically an engine for the sustenance of life and mentality.

Much like the weather, the roller coaster of solar emission shapes the behavior and evolution of each sun's surrounding life and mentality. I say mentality because Yuri's discoveries led to a revolution in scientific understanding of all mentality and the basic fact that it is strongly driven by solar emission.

Yuri is considered the turning point from the cave to the light, so to speak, because people finally had rational explanations for so many things all click into place at once, including what ideas are physically, what tends to cause them, how much of our inspiration is our own, where inspiration comes from when it's not immediately clear, the reason for the urge to name experiences like brainstorm, why the rate of discovery and new ideas increases during periods of increased solar emission, why destabilizing world events like war and revolution tend to occur every eleven years due to the sun.

During moments of extreme solar emission, all life receives an increase of mental events, including not just animals, but plants and all things interconnected with the overall system. This can have catastrophic effects on entire species and ecosystems in the blink of an eye. On the other hand, this can be a rejuvenating experience for the mind in all creatures, as it basically washes away stale electrical connections and frees up new perspectives and brings exciting new images and ideas to mind.

People experienced it, but after Yuri, people finally had an explanation for it. Some in government had known, but obviously kept it secret and obviously tried to contain the idea once it spread. But ultimately, broader knowledge of the relationship between the sun and mentality led to the widespread acceptance that dangerous insurgencies were now scientifically forecastable and preventable.
